I assumed they would want a couple of the title or other info... but doesn't sound too bad.

Nope....just something with the VIN on it. The original sticker works best. They don't don't care who owns the car...Really simple in my opinion

I had to reorder a vin decal for car I was working on because the date on the build sheet was 8/28/69 and on original door vin was 9-1969. I caught this during the assembly lesson learned always go by the original door vin if you can.

Anyway Dave had me measure the original and he made the new to match while I was on the phone.
Pretty cool just another thing to try to keep the car the way it came.

Please correct me if I am Wrong
the Broadcast Sheet has the SPD and that is not always the date the cars where built on. It could be weeks before or after that date
Your car may have been built during sept only a few days after your SPD

All the while when I was reading the thread about ECS Dave's 4 door over the top resto, one thing kept going thru my mind over and over - "And my ex wife thought "I" had issues?" lol. He took a lot of abuse in that thread but I kept an open mind and read it to the end and it finally dawned on me just a little where he was coming from. Think about it, every time you spend your hard earned dollars on a crappy ill fitting reproduction part that isn't right, you will appreciate the people that take the time and effort to get the part right. I've never bought anything from him yet, but if and when I do I will at least have the peace of mind that my money won't be as good as thrown out the window.

broncobra , excellent point.
That is exactly why Dave strives to get the best possible result.
If it falls short , it becomes just another repro.

Dave did a fantastic job on mine too, even knowing the subtle differences it should contain as a Los Angeles build.

One thing is for sure -- you will not be disappointed if you do business with Dave...

I agree with all of the above compliments. If you happen to visit the shop in St. Louis, you'll get a very detailed description of how he makes the stickers, and he'll even show you on the MAC how he goes about it! Very cool, but man is he patient.

On the VIN sticker, he even "offset" mine exactly as the original. It is indistinguishable from original.
