bonefish OP master B Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 7,274 s.w.fl	i bought a set of hastings rings for 4.60 bore(40 over)the two top ring are fine as far as very tight so the are ready to file to fit.the oil rings as test fitted have a .040 gap otb that seems like way to much to me.or am i missing sumthin?

From what I understand you dont want rings more than 10 over the bore dia for file fit cuz they end up slightly out of round (compression rings, not sure about oil rings). I would check on this. file fit rings for a given bore are 5 over live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
