I went to Irwindale last night. I've never been on an 1/8-mile track before. I only got in one run before I started having trouble with the car. I ran a 7.30 @ 102. The car normally runs about 10.60 - 10.70, about 125-127 in the quarter. From the calculators I've looked at, the 1/8-mile ET translates to about an 11.40. I've never run that slow. But the trap speed (according to online calculators) indicates performance consistent with what I usually do in the 1/4. I'm hoping I just did some things horribly wrong or had horrible track prep. I have no idea what my 60-ft. was because I never got a timeslip

I normally run 10.50 at 127, my 1/8 is 6.66 at 102-103 with a 1.46 60ft.
4.30 gear and 29.5 slicks. as an example.

FWIW 7.00 at 99-100mph in the 1/8 is 11.00 in the 1/4. another example.

Use the Wallace calculator.

I'd never ran 1/8th mile either until a few weekends ago. In perfect air I ran 102mph! I noticed on old slips that I usually ran 97-98 mph in the 1/8 mile at home. I was stoked!

Do you have any 1/4 mile slips that have 1/8 mile info? Every time i run a 1/4 mile i run a 1/8 mile 1st. wink

Without Data, you’re just another guy with an opinion.

I looked through all my timeslips. 102 is pretty typical of what I've run in the past. I must have had a horrible 60-ft. last night. Makes me feel a little better about the car and a little worse about the driver!

Thursday night the track was not that good.. out of three attempts we only got a hold of the track once.. but that's what we have to race on

What lane were you in? The right lane gets pretty torn up from all the street tires, the left lane is normally better it gets more love.

I was not there Thursday, but most of the time there are Moparts members there that would gladly give you a hand, or be eyes on. If you have not met Whitedart you need to, it is always a fun conversation

For comparison, my buddy's car runs your same times/ speed in 1/4 mile, and his 1/8 is right around 6.67 @ 102.

If it ain't broke ... you're not pushing it hard enough.

Your mph was there as this is one of my 10.76 passes and my 1/8 was 6.83 @ 100 mph so you had the mph for easy 10.60's. I agree it sounds like your 60 was real bad. Ron
