I'm switching carbs on my '65 Satellite 361 from 2bbl to 4bbl.
The bracket that holds the throttle cable and kick-down linkage needs to be a different "wider" geometry. The two carbs are different widths, so the "new" bracket has to be offset.
I'll surf around and research what's for sale off a 4bbl '65 Big Block.. go to a salvage yard, or I can even shop-fabricate some kind of extension plate... but I figured I'd ask you experts here...
Is there some easy solution to changing these brackets for different carbs?

When I bought my 65 it had the 361 2 bbl.Changed to Eddy and AFB.I just bent the bracket some and it worked for years.Now its 440 M1 and Dominator.I run the bracket that Mancini sells.A member Andy here makes them if I remember.Rocky

When I bought my 65 it had the 361 2 bbl.Changed to Eddy and AFB.I just bent the bracket some and it worked for years. Thanks Rocky - that's basically what I ended up doing - looked at the aftermarket stuff and realized it's not a bolt-on deal with the throttle cable and kick down.. So I modified what I had on hand: Grabbed a little 1/8" steel plate a fabbed a short extension for the factory bracket... made a little extension to get the throttle cable to reach properly.. Got it done in time to test drive around the block, then take my boys out for burgers & ice cream.. made the final throttle adjustment in the parking lot.. Cheers, - Art
