Have my Dr. Diff rear brakes installed and have the parking brake cables installed. But with the parking brake applied, just a little gas has the car moving. Pretty sure I have all slack out of the cables and there is more resistance in the parking brake pedal than when I had drums on. Is there a trick to setting this up that I am missing? Or is the parking brake on the mustang calipers just that weak? I don't think it would pass inspection as is on a modern car.

Tried yesterday and today. hasn't picked up and my job at the moment doesn't lend itself to the leave message/wait for callback option. Cass is awesome, I'm sure he'll have info once I get in touch with him. Just wondering if anyone else already dealt with the same problem.

He uses Mustang based calipers. You need to follow the adjustment procedures for them to initially setup the E brake. Sounds like the piston is screwed to far in. A note, you have to use the E brake consistently to keep the rear caliper in adjustment.

Generally, you need to work the E brake several times to get the piston adjusted up to the pad properly, then you should be good.

fords are known for needing the e-brake used constantly, not only for keeping the piston screwed out far enough to have the e-brake work correctly, but that also has an effect of a "low" pedal height if not used all the time.
