Does anyone know if there is a book on what parts get plated or finnished in what material or coatings? Or a list of what parts are finnished in what way?

I appreciate it but I have that book already. Even though it is greatly helpful and probably the best money spent on a book I'm looking more for things like window regulators, tail light housings, door strikers, gas fill tube, etc. I'm working on an E Body

Year? Model?

Look for pictures of original cars. Search the Moparts resto section here. Ask questions here.

There were pictures of Dave Walden’s white with blue stripe Challenger on he old Mopar Action website. I think there were pics of survivor cars theee too.

Door striker and latch - silver cad

70-71 Challenger t/l housing - natural pot metal
70-71 Cuda t/l housing - yellowish cad

Gas tank fill tube - lead dip

Window regulators it think are galvanized. Since you can’t see these most don’t plate them.

SF Restorations does fine detailing of the small parts you asking about. View these threads:

Think view all the threads ACR2000 has replied to and read them and note pictures if they are still up: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/userposts/id/2687.html

I'm doing a 71 challenger convertible. It's a non #s factory BB 4 Barrel car. I was just going to do a nice OE resto. on it but it came back from paint so nice i want to do everything back to the way it rolled off the line. Im looking for the correct coatings for
-tail light housings
-shifter and linkage
-gas fill tube and emissions tube
-wiper arms and mounts
-side marker light backing plates
-E brake unit
-door claws
and im sure more i cant think of at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated
