any ideas. The rear fan will not work. I can run power to it and it works fine. But is does not run off the dash switch at all or the roof switch. When I run power to it it will switch from floor to roof vents as well as air to heat and temp adjusts fine. I did get a new fan module to try but that does not do anything. I have checked the fuses under the hood and relays under the hood that say they are for the rear HVAC but nothing. Any other ideas? Currently have it spliced into the wires and a power cord running to the power port in the back seat to run the fan so my kids are not dying from heat back there. ANy ideas? Places to look? tests to try?

Maybe an answer in the owners manual or online.

all electric. probably have 4 motors/actuators on the heater case, controlled by a switch, and other temp sensors.no vacuum lines on that puppy. mode door actuator.

finally had chance to rip into it. Tested the blower motor with jump box. It works. with vehicle running and jump box powering the fan I can get it to switch from roof to floor just fine. So know the actuators on the doors are working. No way of testing the module for the fan. Hoping that is it. I have thought usually there is just one speed of the fan that usually still works but guess not. Bad part is noone has it in stock for 4 days. So back together it goes!

finally got new module today after waiting a week and half to get it. i ordered it from dealership on the 26th. Was not in local supply depot so had to come from another one. paid the extra to have it 2nd day delivery. THe dealership placed the order on tuesday the 29th. was suppose to be here last friday. Well chrysler supposedly cancelled the order and ordered it out of a dealer in Texas. Finally got to me this am(june 5th) all things going on I came to my shop at 10:30 to install it. Nothing works!!! I have checked all the fuses and relays that are marked for the rear HVAC. Nothing is bad. The fan just wont turn on by either the switch on the dash or the main. Any ideas????? I leave for new orleans friday and really am at a loss.

Is there some sort of pressure switch in the system that would keep the fan from running with low refrigerant or possibly a temp sensor?

I don't think so as the air works just fine when I have it running from using the power source like a jump box or the power source in the back. I actually spliced into the 2 fan motor wires and have another wire strung out and it plugged into the rear power source. Everything all works just fine that way.

Sounds like it is in body control module (or whatever they call it ??) . . . time for dealer to scan the vehicle and see ??? Nothing is directly controlled from a switch anymore, that switch signal goes to computer to send out signal to make whatever operate . . .

The older Durangos have a rear blower resistor located behind the passenger side panel in the cargo area which will prevent the fan from working.
