I'm fed up with these valve covers I have, all they do is leak no matter what I do. Tried Moroso and Superformance gaskets, tried these billet spacers someone recommended, tried new quality bolts. They still leak and I'm tired of it. Yes they are some Chinese RPC covers and I'm ready to buy some good quality valve covers. Can people with experience not your opinion from a picture offer up some choices? I'm about ready to but those expensive Moroso valve covers!!!

I have run the MP cast alum covers on all my
SB engines... they have NEVER leaked.. I have
one set on my W-2 right now that look stock
except for the 8 ign coils mounted to the covers
and they are doing great.. one thing about them..
they are heavy but they dont leak.. the other set
of them I milled the logo off of and polished.. the
polished set was on my W-9

I would need the wide W9 valve covers to clear my shaft rockers and pushrods, that is also why I need fabricated aluminum covers, the wide covers aren't made anymore...

I did what P Bidy did I machined all the ribbing off my cast covers and left the Mopar Performance on, they look good and have never leaked. I tried a set of the cheap fabricated covers they had no rail to hold the gasket and I blew a gasket out in high gear last year so off they came and the cast ines went back on.

Check the valve cover rail on the heads.

A buddy of mine that plays with Max Wedge stuff used to fight leaks with the stock 4 bolt valve covers until he discovered that the rail is nowhere close to true, at least on MW heads. A trip thru the Bridgeport and no more leaks.

Any MW that leaves his shop now gets that treatment.

I got my W9 covers from Doug Lee, they are the only ones I found that would clear the 1.625 springs. He will make them to your specs for breathers, fillers and vacuum pump fittings. Very well made, no leaks.

If you want to go to the max Brett Miller is taking orders for a run of CNC W9 valve covers.
