Hello I have a 63 dodge that continues to lean more and more the the left side like the driver ate way to many cheese burgers. The car weighs 3800 lbs and has a 440 and a 727 with a 3800 converter. It has a 8&3/4 with a spool and 4.30 gears and 10.5 X 28 rear tire nothing special. It dose have sub frame connectors and a spring relocation kit. The car just lifts the left front tire when it leaves. It runs 11.11 at 123 on a good day ad 60 foots mid to high 1.5s. It still has the stock rear leaf springs and a pinion snubber. It has factory 6 cyl torsion bars. We do have a 2" lowering block in the rear. The rear springs are clamped front and back. I put 2 different torsion bars and preloaded them same as far as the # of threads showing on the adjuster bolts go and the the car still leans. I have to turn the left adjuster bolt a extra 4 to 5 turns to get it to level out. Nothing appears to be bent or bending. Ill try to post a pic of the car leaving. The rear end appears to be moving downward 4" to 5". When the car is just sitting the top of the wheel is under the top of the wheel opening 1" or 2". What do you guys think the problem could be? Rear leaf spring dying? To much leverage on the spring from the lowering block? Thanks Seth

Your left rear leaf spring must be weak. Maybe that's why you're running good. I say that because I've experienced Super Stock springs brand new and they do the same thing. They are a different part number and have a different rate. I don't like a leaning car either and I know you could take a little of the lean out without ruining the launch. Maybe take metal off of one of the lowering blocks or something. I use independent adjust rear air shocks on my Dart to level it some. Good luck.

All springs wear out, try a new set of rear springs
and have the car scaled. The amount of rear lift is
controlled with the shocks... get a good set of adjustable
ones, at least for the rears for now

Seth, this may sound like a dumb question, but do you have the pinion snubber up against the floor with some preload on it? Remember the pinion snubber and trans tunnelare offset to the passenger side and if you have any pre load on the snubber, this would tend to keep the passenger side of the car higher.
Just a thought.

Cal-tracks - better weight transfer due to improved IC. Adjustable pre-load - all for under $350
