I have two Innovate LC-2s, I found the best prices on ebay. I didn't buy them at the same time though, if I did that I would have got the unit they have that runs one gauge and 2 sensors. I have had zero trouble from them.

It is ok to put the sensor on just 1 bank correct?

Was wanting to put an X pipe in and locate it there but heard mixed reviews

Yeah I ran one on one bank for a long time. I added a second because my EFI can correct bank to bank if I want it to.

In the car I use an Autometer gauge with wideband. Nice simple unit to install.

The handheld units provide data logging and other features but they are a hassle to have in the car. Just depends what you are trying to accomplish.

Innovate LM2. It allows you to read live and log on an SD card.

Lots of gauges available. I use Auto Meter 3579 since it matches the other gauges in my car.

I just installed a AEM gauge on my car a few weeks ago. Seems to work as it should. Was very easy to install.

A gage is fine for tuning a steady condition. By this I mean say you want to know how an adjustment effected the AFR at idle. Or, driving steady on the interstate 65 mph. Or even pedal to the floor, from last shift through the lights.

For all that, a gage is good.

But if you want to know what happens as the throttle moves, or the car starts to go up a hill, or some more detail, then a logging with other info is a really needed. That way you can see the relationship with rpm at a minimum, and tps, manifold vac, etc if you want. For logging the LM2 like Mark mentioned, or a gage with the pocket logger are pretty good consumer grade options.

So all depends on what you mean by tuning and how deep in you think you're going to get. Innovate's stuff is fast, and it has error codes, and can be calibrated. OTH logging software and hardware setups are not the most user friendly.

I use a Innovate LM-2 and love it, I made a mount to hang mine from the dash, so all I have to worry about is remembering to punch the record button at the end of my burn out and just after the finish line so I can record my results.
