I installed the Fire Core wires and they are a little longer than my MSD's, so now I'll look into some new plug wire locating hardware. Neighborhood kid likes to work on his Dad's and bro's Harleys and came by with an exhaust that had a broken bolt. I carefully drilled it to just below the thread inner diameter and tapped it from behind (then I found my easyouts ) Then Lauren wanted me to get her new dresser upsatairs, so I had the young man return the favor. I still managed to get a few things done to the car but need to address the carb to see if it's dumping fuel and why it won't adjust for decent vacuum. I have a power valve dummy plug to install while I investigate. Probably just the fuel dumping due to low vacuum at idle

Thanks guys I am getting allot of positive feedback. I open the garage and even dog walkers and skate boarders stop to comment. I just stumbled on this old pic of my youngest. I believe this was the night she snuck off with her stuffed Elephant... as the symbol of the Hemi he was my dash riding copilot. My sis in law had once said that an Elephant with an up-turned trunk was good luck. That night the only drive without him ended very expensive, and with me using my tow strap. He never leaves my dash, even at the body shop he was there.
What a cool pic!
I'll get a current reshoot. I'm trying to get her to take a pic in the new 69 too but she makes a face and says "I'm not getting in there"
I picked up some holley blue gaskets and will verify they are correct for this demon carb before digging in. I plan to plug the power valve with a dummy plug and see if I can get it to run off the idle circuit and make sure there are no vacuum leaks. Carb was an ebay reman so maybe it just has the wrong metering plate gaskets?

A guy over on CC.com just bought a red 72 that also originally had the V21 option. Hopefully he will decide to put it back that way. I posted a link to a couple of your pictures over there.
that was me, just joined this forum today. ive had the car a while. trying to locate a set of scoops so i can paint them. i plan on doing the v21 and tail panel and wing all at once very soon. I like your paint, care to share where to get it or the codes? i have a local place that can mix anything pretty much.

I used to pull about 11" of vacuum at idle when I lived in Las Vegas. The car sat for a few years then I finished paint and body and now it's only pulling about 7" of vacuum.... but I'm at 5500ft now At any rate I put a dummy plug in the power valve, changed the oil and might start to finish items. I need it ready before fathers day weekend. I'll certainly put some fuel in it and have it out for at least a short drive this weekend so I can change the oil again. I might fire up another Mopar this weekend EDIT: came home, immediately dusted it off a little, went for some fresh fuel, then put a few miles on it. I got a few looks, thumbs ups, a few comments like "nice car" or "nice ride" feel good. I have some dead/soft header collector gaskets for it too Took it out again around 9:30pm and had a little fun. Even had a Cop roll up and say it looked and sounded good man, whats in it? Wanna run officer? LOL fuzzy pic ...I was stopped
