Does anyone have a good closeup photo of proper placement Measurements of the Chin Spoilers on a 1972 Roadrunner/Satellite

Thanks

There's no factory documentation that I've seen over the decades giving specs like other models equipped with front spoilers...

You can look at all the original factory photos you want, they all differ DAMHIK, pick the best looking angle and body fit, try and make it look symmetrical side to side, then nail them on, only advice I can give you

Other than don't make the mistake that "only a few can do" and install them pictured below the way the Grave Yard Carz crew did...lol!

Yes...

(And SS bolts work a little better than nails...

FYI, they weren't available on 72 road runners/satellites

On 71s they were dealer installed, so there is no real consistency on original cars.

FWIW...Perhaps the OP just likes them?...nothing says I couldn't have had them dealer installed back in the day on my 72...not everyone is concerned with year correct details...just like the guys that put 71 B body rear window louvers on their 72-4's smile

Absolutely not...

If the book says no, then dammit, they were NOT AVAILABLE...

Apparently the dealers didn't know how to install them correctly either. Here's a survivor

That GTX in the photo above is unreal...

Probably the lowest mileage survivor '71 GTX I've ever seen...

My buddy tried to buy it off the original owner many moons ago...

(Somebody needs to fix that chin...

Ted Stephens still have that car???

Yup, it was right in my back yard, and a couple of my buddies knew the original owner...I believe his name was Al. *correction, Art

As far as I know, Ted still owns it and it's still in the museum down in Sevierville.

So your saying that my dealer in 1972, selling me a 72 Sat/RR off the lot, and asked to order a set of 71 chin spoilers and install them on my car wouldn't do that?....really smile
