Looking at this one wire deal, small and light...how do you set it up to a factory harness if its internally regulated?

why would you want to spend money and time to put that small (35 amps down) of a amperage rated alternator on your car?
Buy at least as big(45 amp stock on most Mopars, 65 Amps on a lot of the bigger optioned cars with air and so on scope) or bigger 1 wire alternator twocents
As far as wiring it I can think of two options, one feed it directly to the hot wire on the starter relay on the fenderwell or firewall or run it directly to the + side of the battery and add a volt meter inside the car where you can see it.
You will need to decide what to do about the stock amp gauge and wiring also when ever you convert any Mopar to a single wire alternator, no matter what amps it puts out shruggy

You can get a 60 amp one that size .
I have mine hooked to starter relay stud with trunk mounted battery .

I had one (I believe rated 55 amps) very similar on my race car. Being an electrical engineer I am supposed to know this stuff. Folks on this board laughed at me - rightly so.

I replaced it with one rated around 120 amps and never looked back. Basically my electric fan and water pump drew so much load that the alternator could not supply enough amps. This caused the voltage to be low and because of infinity laws the pump and fan were well under optimum performance. With the voltage now steady at 13.5 - 13.8 volts, my temperature back in the pits after a run dropped 20 to 30 degrees.

Infinity laws saw that in a centrifugal pump/fan like the pump and fan in my race car, the flow is the square of the speed and the horsepower is the cube of the speed. So increase the voltage from 11.7 to 13.8 volts (like my example), the flow goes up 39% and the horsepower goes up 64%. So this drives thew requirement for a large alternator...........

Shoot, didnt see the low amps.😨 I was looking at smaller options. But yeah, thanks Cab for pointing that out. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Not much electrics on my car, so a 60 would probably do it, but ill dig for a bigger one the be on the safe side. thumbs

I have a one wire alternator on my Dart. When I installed it I ran a #6 wire from the alternator to the + post of the battery, this in addition to the factory charge wire.

I run a GM style 1 wire on my Fury. My ammeter is spliced. I use the starter solenoid big bolt as a 'bus', heavy draw items (EFI fuel pump, stereo, a/c, etc) attach there. That way the VR in the alt can 'see' the loads on the system and react to them. I also feed current through both of the bulkhead connectors rather than in and out to the batt as the OEM wiring. This way plenty of juice to the cabin and the batt charge circuit doesn't require a trip through the cabin.
