Dom helped me weigh my car today at the Fontana track. I needed help weighing front axle VS back axle and it was impossible to do with myself in the drivers seat. So after I Raced Dom and made him look bad he was kind enough to help me with my car. We both went to a private track rental and had a great time. Also finally got some full quarter times. Best today was (with a mild tail wind) :
1.470 , 6.986 @ 95.62 , 11.142 @ 116.92
Actually that MPH was up almost 1 full MPH over earlier passes. Most were in the 115.5 range.
I am very happy. Best 1/8th before was at Irwindale and was 1.45, 6.95 @ 96.11 and Fontana is usually a lot slower than Irwindale......

Knowing the lengths that you went to to keep the weight down i am gonna say somewhere in the neighborhood of 2750+-. Which would be a pathetic statement about my tube chassis car which now tips the scales at a svelt 2840 with me in it.

Well Phil was the closest. 3052 with me in it. I weigh 180. Also remember that crate motor has Iron heads. So there is an "easy" #50 more I can take off the front. Also remember I welded 90 pounds balast permamently up behind the rear bumper (1X2 chunks of solid steel). So if you took that out and I put aluminum heads on then you would have 2732 for the car by it's self. Now......
Front = 1472
Rear = 1568
Of course that is slightly off and adds to 3040 pounds, because you are weighing on different ends of the scale vs the whole car in the middle. I actually would have never imagined my weight Bias would be that good with the crate motor in there.

I see you ran 116 mph. Is this with a very low rear gear? Reason I ask, is my 65 Fury ran 11.16 at 118 and I think the 4.88 gears I ran were to low. I never got a chance to try 4.56's as I sold the car. I was just wondering if yours was set up for 1/8 mile.
