I run QTP’s on both my cars. Had them on the dart also when it had a 4 speed. They worked well.

A buddy of mine built a '87 notch mustang with a grand national engine. Flat hood, stock interior, other than a few gauges and steering wheel, stock seats, and shifter, no cage or bar. Just had welded in subframe connectors, the kind that you cut the floor for. Stock suspension. With the grand national engine and trans, 3.73's and a set of McCreary ( american racer ) L60-15's that car went 9.72@142, driven to the track, and it still got almost 30 mpg on the hiway. That car made us A LOT of money. And those tires worked great.

I recommend tubes with the QTP’s.
It really doesn't matter whether you win or lose… as long as you look good doing it!

I've heard of a 69 Dart going on it's roof on a warm sunny day where some water washed across the road in a low spot.

Has anyone tried the M&H Racemaster? The DOT street version has more tread then the M/T does. I was looking to give these a try. I use them. Been using them on this car since 2004. Due for a new set and I'm going to replace them with the same tire.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

Thanks guys....I never even thought of QTP's (or American racer L60-15's for that matter). Question, while checking into the QTP's they are pretty adamant about saying "For Off Road Use Only", obviously they are a thinly disguised drag slick but are they truly unsafe on the street (wet roadways aside)? The MT and AR's don't offer such harsh warnings as far as I am aware? I have driven hundreds and hundreds of street miles on QTP’s nice tires The 28 by 11.5( 28 by 10 wide) fits nicely on a Demon/ Duster with correct backspace wheel. What size rear wheel and backspace, would work best on a Demon/Duster with the above mentioned QTP tire?? I have a stock width 8-3/4 with a 4.10 and automatic, and stock leaf spring location. I was thinking of using these tires too??

Same ones I use at the strip for my Mustang, Don. That tread depth scared me, so I also have a set of 295/55/15 M/T ET Street S/S that I use for the street.

Radials with a 4spd is easier than you might think, likely quicker/faster and better mpg as well. Please elaborate.

Yes, I would like to hear how it's easy as well. I spent years trying to hook a radial on a pretty nasty 6spd Fbody GM...going against other racer's advice in the process. When I finally did switch to ET Drag Bias Plys, my 60ft dropped 2 tenths immediately. More importantly it stayed consistent. When trying to launch a manual, track prep, pressure, and suspension are a magical combination. And, that combination usually only works on that track on that day. No doubt, they have the potential to go faster, but save yourself the headaches and run bias plys. I've bracket raced more than one 4 speed car when I was a lot younger and willing to do the maintenance needed to do that, no more My last halfway fast(9.99 in the 1/4 cork up through the air cleaner with full exhaust N/A ) pump gas street car with a good converter and a 727 tranny would get real ugly in a heartbeat at speeds above 55 MPH when I went to WOT on a less than perfect surface road on M/T ET Street Radials, not so on the same size ET Street bias plys Trust me on this, don't get hurt trying to make a radial hook up on a high HP street car under normal driving conditions unless their real big and wide

Dang, you had to ask me lol. Yes stock axles. I honestly dont remember if it was 4.5 or 5.5 backspace. i will ask some buddies who have done the same thing, i am pretty sure 4.5 but dont want to swear to it

I am curious if ANY of you with over 500 HP can hook from a dead stop??? I have ET Street R's bias and I cant hook down low whatsoever.I av roll out in 1st and short shift 2nd then roll into it hard so 2/3s of the way through 2nd I'm at WOT then click high and stay hooked,,,most of the time. Also use 31 X 16.5's. Ay the track I use 10.5w M\T and they work very good
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!
