RAS supposedly changed hands a few years ago and quality suffered. The set I have are from before then and are fine. Buddy bought a set after the ownership change and the shaft was a cheap piece of junk.

The original RAS rocker arms are probably the best big block rocker arms ever made. No idea if they are still being made or not. I have one set of the originals that I run on my 470 engine. These things last forever. Stainless steel with a bronze bushing, excellent oiling design, great geometry, etc.

If RAS isn't interested in making them anymore I wish someone else would start producing them. Hint Hint to AndyF. I would probably buy them.

Last I recall when RAS did still make them, they were at -- or over -- $1000. Since I'd paid around $700 for them, that seemed like a HUGE price jump to me. I must of forgot about that price hike. At that price point I probably would not be interested.

I called them yesterday (Feb, 28th). They still manufacture the rockers. They have changed owners. Most of former employees are with new management. Price is currently on sale for $875. Regular price is $945. They are in stock. Ratio is 1.6:1. Comes with shafts, hold downs, spacers and hardware. Made from 17-4 billet stainless steel. See attachment. Tried to attach emailed flier. Had to attach file to reply. I hope this attachment is working for everyone.

They are high quality rockers, but I have to disagree that they have good geometry. I have a set of the 1.5 ratio, and they are no different in design geometry than most of the other shelf rockers out there, and they ain't good. I have to give them credit for offering them with a cup style adjuster at least. I'll be converting mine in the near future, just so I can get some use out of them again.
