anyone have any thoughts on the 2008 magnum? i was thinking of getting one.

problem is i can only find with the v6 or the 6.1hemi.

are the 2.7L v6's any good?

I love my 08 R/T. It is leased, I may buy it when it is up. The 3.5L 6 is decent but you should drive the 2.7L before buying, it is a little underpowered for my taste.

my wife's is a 05 with a 2.7 wished it had a 3.5

Our 2006 Magnum R/T is a 5.7 Hemi, we have had it for a couple of years and absolutely love it.
The 2.7 cars aren't rated near as favorable as the 3.5 SXT.

I read at one time it was the highest in initial quality by JD Power. One of the few Mopars that actually rated.

I have a 3.5 all wheel drive. Pretty nice car. I'm not thrilled with the shift quality,very mushy. Fuel economy in town 17-18 on highway maybe 20. Drives and handles well.

anyone tow with these? i have a small boat / trailer that i would be periodically towing.

Don't waste your time w/ the 2.7 v6 maggies,the 3.5 is decent and the 5.7s can pull down decent mileage and are a blast to drive ,D.

I own a 2007 Magnum SXT 3.5L and it's great. I test drove the 2.7 and it was way under powered. Don't waist your time even considering the 2.7L. The R/T would have been my next option, but with the gas prices and all I thought that the 3.5 was the best choice plus you get a better transmission. Mine has the 5 speed auto-stick (it's the Mercedes trans)... Fun car!

My thoughts simple... if a charger front end will bolt on it would look great, I think the front end on them looks kinda goofy. All that said however I have been considering tradeing my cuda for one for my wife if I can find someone willing that has a decent one with a 5.7 2wd.

I bought a low mileage 2007 Magnum 3.5 SXT because the 2008 3.5 SXT no longer has the "Mercedes" Auto stick transmission. I found 2.7 version underpowered. I'm getting about 26 MPG on the Hwy and enjoy the big car ride. Personnaly I wish Chrysler had invested in reducing road noise. It seems to mainly come from the Good Year tires and I find it annoying at times. In my opinion the Magnum Wagons $ for $ are a good buy.

so i went to my local dealers to today to look at some of the cars they had in stock...lets just say they were not friendly to deal with...and would not provide me with a written copy of the certified pre-owned warantee details...i am going to call chrysler and complain.

that being said i still really want one BAD...i think i am going to play the waiting game and try to find a used 2008 SRT8.

An 08 Magnum is going to have the new front end. It looks much better than the origonal one.
