Ok, so I picked up an early set of W2-econo heads top end package.
Looking them over before purchasing, I noticed they had oversized springs on them and the stock iron rocker arms have been relieved for clearance to the springs.
I'm trying to figure out the what springs these are, and if they are OK on a mild, less than .500 lift cammed 340...mainly stock type setup, with a Hemi grind style cam.
Spring size: OD, 1.550, ID-1.125, .208 wire size, and 2.135" tall, uninstalled height. Single spring only, with 10 degree locks, retainers, etc. Wanting to know what kind of pressure these were designed for.
And, what to change to for mild cam application. Or, if I can stick with these.
Thanks

I think you would need to measure the psi at the open and closed heights you have when you mockup. I'm in the same boat with my stuff. I sure wish Santa would give me a Rimac but likely I'll get one of those ones you compress in a vise (just need to be told which is a good one to get). Anyone?

Not an expert here, but I have one motor with beehive springs on a small block stroker. The dyno sheets show very nice curves, controlling a .560 lift hydraulic roller very well to 6000 + rpm. Springs are a cheap investment , I would get the perfect spring for the cam you intend to run. It will guarantee the best power output and will be easier on the valve train.

Thanks P. In the reviews several said the calibration spring is pretty much a must have & several said they felt it was not accurate.

To use the vise one,you need to have something to stop the vise at open height and installed height.I prefer the benchtop.Yes,it cost more but the results are worth every penny!
