Precision or Steele are your two choices. We sell both and for that application. In my opinion the Precision gasket will work fine for a significantly lower price.

For that particular application, both the hardtop and convertible uses the same gasket. So it would be a matter of your personal preference for which gasket manufacture or vendor you should decide to use. If you should go to each manufacture's web site and compare pricing from each, you will see that there is approximately a $100 difference in the pricing. Whichever one you should decide to go with, should fit and function fine. On some applications, I know that one brand may fit a bit better or that one brand may be purchasing from the other manufacture to provide coverage. For this particular gasket, each one is their own gasket.

For some applications, there are absolute advantages of using one over the other. But in your case, I would not hesitate in going with the cheaper gasket. For some people, they would much rather go with Steele as most of their products are manufactured in North Carolina. The Precision gaskets are usually manufactured in Thailand or India. Precision is an OEM vendor to the automotive industry and is involved in a variety of other industries as well.
