I have have a 1968 B Body 3 speed trans. no bell housing just the trans. Can't give this thing away as I tried to at the Fall Fling. Scrap metal ain't worth sh@t these days. Too heavy to toss to the curb for city trash to pick up. So my plan is to tear it down and save things like the hardware and what not. My questions is: Are there any 4 speed related parts in a 3 speed trans worth holding onto? I'm sick of tripping over this pig lol. Thanks in advance.

Yes tear it down & save it cuz if you throw it away you will have a dire need for it within a month (it always happens!).

And I thought I was the only one with this dilemma! Only difference is mine is a '69 three speed.

That is the light duty six cylinder three speed, so don't feel bad about tossing it I have a medium duty, can't remember the model number now 3 speed that came out of my old 340 Space Duster with the floor shift, I need to dig it out and post it on here for sale

Don't put it in a landfill! Recycle it. Isn't there a scrap dealer nearby? Or where do the auto shops get rid of their worn out parts? In my neighborhood there are two metal recycling places. They may not pay you for the iron scrap, but at least it's going to a new use. The city has a recycling setup as well. There's also a woman who picks up scrap and sells it to feed her dogs.

R. Yes, but unless I get any return for my scrap loads it isn't worth the trip. I'm not going there just to get yelled at by the yard guys who think they're law enforcement. Plus the drama when collecting at the window. You'd think you were trying to collect an unemployment check. No thanks. But thanks for your input.
