Hi guys this one has me stumped. Had to change the alternator three times and the voltage regulator twice and it only last a couple days. keeps on going from charging to discharging on rally gauge cluster. car is completely stock with air conditioning. 1970 cuda 383 air electric everything

But you never checked at the battery to see if its really charging or not

Yes it charges the first day I put on the alternator in for a couple days after and then starts going crazy and stops charging all together I disconnect the battery and the car stalls

I think you should check your bulkhead connections and the connections to the back of the ammeter. These cars are known for failures in these locations. Don't wait too long to inspect. I learned the hard way. You can have a heck of dash fire if the ammeter circuit shorts out.

Check all you engine and body ground wires for corrosion. Sounds like your system is losing ground to me...
