So my new short bed d100 got delivered yesterday and I've been cleaning it up today and trying to find something to replace the ford steel wheels that came on it. I got a set of aluminum slots that came with the truck, 15x7 fronts and 15x8.5 rears. I knew the rears might not fit but I thought the fronts would. Today i discovered that the fronts hit the calipers and won't work. The backspace is 3.75" on both front and rears. I'd like to have some type of old school mags and keep it 15". Just curious what you guys are running? I'd like to pick something up at fall fling on Saturday. Thanks guys!

Personally I love old Chrysler 15" steelies. I think they look great painted black with or without caps. Maybe with some redline caps but they are so expensive, even used. I think the stock look or close to it looks best.
Facts are stubborn things.

not sure why a 7x15 with 3.75 bs won't work? or why it hits the caliper? I have run plenty of steel spoke wheels with 3.75 bs
must not be a mopar slots or 4" on 5 wbp maybe? sure they are 15" ?
I run 7x15 with 4.5 bs weld rims up front with 235/75/15 tire
I have had 7x15 steel spokes with 4" bs also
I have a set of 4x15 with 1.5 bs 165/15 tire
I have seen 10x15 4.5bs on the fronts with 295/50/15 tires...now the stick on weights hit the caliper and had to use bead weights.
I have a set of 10x15 with a 30x9.50x15 tire on the back of my stepside stock width rear axle. so a 8.5 rim 4 or 4.5 bs should fit the rear.
10x15 7.5 bs 325/50/15 M/T with stock width axle & tubs.
I find that 4.5 back space works great on the trucks.
I tubbed my 88 440 truck and used an A-body 8 3/4 to tuck a 12x15 rim 4.5 bs with a 325/50/15 M/T in the fenders.
even the 7x15 4.25 bs cop wheels should bolt right on that truck.
check & ID the wheels Thanks Scratchin. And I thought the same. I'll go out and take some photos now. I had no idea they wouldn't fit. A buddy told me that some older mag wheels were cast before disc brakes were popular but I didn't think these were that old. Photos coming shortly.

Thanks Scratchn. Any visual giveaways when I’m at the swap meet this weekend? Like I said, I’d like to have older(cheap) 15” aluminum slots on it. I’ll be shopping this weekend at the fling. Don’t want to make the same mistake twice. These came with the truck, so nothing lost.
