Depends on which heads and year(1962 and early 1963 are a little bit smaller than the original 1964 Stage 3 heads) as well as stock OEM or the later factory replacements or after market aluminum street heads like the Indy SR heads shruggy

Max wedge is 1.850 x 1.575

Stock port is 1.780 x 1.480

Then you get into Indy style port which is 2.080 x 1.71

Thanks guy's, it looks as if my Hedman fenderwell headers are big enough for the MW port as my copper gaskets with the sealing rib are not wide enough to cover the opening in the flange and had apperent leak's in areas around the openings so I need to use different gasket, any suggestion's, I looked on Superformance's web site, but he apperently does not make them.

we use nothing but the mr. gasket ultra seals - some guys just use the red high temp silicone and no gasket at all - we change gaskets at least every year so never had an issue

Summit has a bunch of different ex gaskets. FelPro, Mr Gasket, etc. I think Indy has exhaust gaskets for their heads also.

I've found that you typically need to buy several different brands before you'll find one that really fits. On my 514 engine I ended up having custom gaskets made since nothing off the shelf fit the ports.

We use the Mr gasket ultra seals for the Indy heads. Work great for us for years. Still use them to this day the Indy gaskets are laughable at best ...

The ports in the TF 240 head is much smaller than the header ports, looks like I need a standard MW flat gasket since the rib's on the standard port copper gaskets are inside the header flange opening and that's where they are leaking in spots.

I have used high temp RTV for 10 years never had a leak. i use Valco Cincinnati All-In-One Aluminum Silicone, it works awesome and is easy to get off when you need to.

Thanks, I will give that a try, getting ready to get on their web site now and if I don't come up with an answer then they will get a call. Thanks
