One of my Friends is looking for a complete wiring kit for a 1965 Sport Fury and is having a tough time finding one.

Can anyone recommend a place to find an exact fit wiring kit for that car.

Thank you
Stu

I am unaware of anyone making c-body harnesses.
they just are not popular enough for someone to gear up for it.

In reality if they are rewiring completly, you might get away with one of the larger b body harnesses.
Like a 68 or 69.

Worst case you might have to repin some of the connectors depending on how much of the 65 parts you keep.

OT, on my 65 (dart) I set the harness(es) on the floor & crimped/soldered a new harness together right next to the old one. I added a wire then cut the old one out till the new one took shape as the old one dissappeared. this let me duplicate the old one & make some circuits larger (as needed). ALWAYS use the same colors as original including colored tracer stripes on the wires. there are companies that sell exact lengths of a particular color/color with tracer. Under the hood was easy, under the dash not so easy.

Is the 1965 Sport Fury considered a C body? I thought it might be a B body due to it's shortened length.

I owned a '65 Sport Fury and it was indeed considered a 'C' body. Mopar couldn't decide what to do with the Fury. '62-'64 are 'B' bodies but in 1965 they moved the Fury to a 'C' body which held for a number of years.

I don't know anyone that makes the rear harness (lights). Evans made mine for the engine and headlights but I believe I gave him my old ones - long time ago. Not yet installed. He said he can re-wrap the rear harnesses but not make new ones.

I know those harnesses pretty well if he has any questions.

JS Restorations has(in the past) restored original wiring harnesses when reproductions weren't available, or reproduction wasn't good enough. I don't know if he is still doing them. It's worth a call to find out.
