bought a really nice rt scoop for my coronet that didnt come with the chrome, so I bought some repos from ebay ,look nice but dont look like they fit right (see pic), or is that how they are supposed to fit factory. I figured they would sit flush with top of louvers and also where they bend around side. there is about 1/16" step, it looks like I could slot the holes and move it up but then there will be a gap on bottom, also is the top of the chrome supposed to be painted silver, looks like nice chrome under paint. never really paid much attention to the scoops on other cars so I am not shure how its supposed to look. I stripped all paint and resealed with sealer and some primer so its not like it has 20 paint jobs over it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
