I was called also. It was Thursday when I re'cd the call. Couldn't take the call so I called back and Jamie answered the phone. He didn't give me any promise time but I am still on the list and a willing buyer. I've run a 5spd in the chicken before and all I can say it is a blast to drive and get it out on the highway. I'll stick with Jamie on this one!!!! Think you might live long enough to get one?

I'm shocked. I actually got a call from Passon this past Friday stating that I was on their list and If I was still interested. I don't know if they were updating the list or if it was my turn. I just politely said I had already bought a T-56 Magnum from SST. If I knew I could have got an 855 within a month I still would have bought it but the last time I called in I was still about 6 months on the list out. Stick with the T56 Magnum, you'll be glad you did, aftermarket 5 spds have been done for so long now they're "old school", the T56 is the best choice you could make for your vehicle, the Passon 5spd fills the niche for those not wanting to modify their vehicle's floor/frame/crossmember/etc/etc and or looking for a no skills needed bolt in

Got the same call, They were updating the list to people that were still interested. So I knew now that I was on a shorter list.
BUT update, got a second call and I have reached the top of the list. At least e-body list. My trans is now coming my way !!

Got my call today!!! Was told I should have it in around a month. As I said previously, I was somewhere in the upper 80s on the original list for A-bodies I just assumed that since you said you "shouldhave it in around a month" on the 4th of August that you would be expecting it by the 4th of September......

Topless: please stop trolling the thread. Children should be seen and not heard. You have nothing positive to contribute so we would like you to stop posting like a child. It's quite apparent you do not understand what it takes to bring this wonderful product to the market and how much it cost up front to make the product move from the blue print to the machining centers. You also seem to have a lot of spare time on your hands. How much money do you thing it cost to finance this major undertaking? It's deep into 6 figures. Where do you think this money came from? Do you have six figures to finance this operation. Put up some money or be quiet. Having torture tested Jamies 4 speeds for many many years on the road course [130mph+] I can attest to the quality of the products and the integrity of the business. I have consulted with Jamie on this project from the beginning. I am not at liberty to divulge the details but you topless need to quit WHINING and go away along with the rest of you so called enthusiasts polluting this thread. No transmission for you! Very well said !!!! This business venture does cost money and I'm surprissed that he is still in business. Seven years to produce a product that is still on backorder has to put a major dent in his revenue. Of course I'm a keyboard junky so who gives a sh!t.

Sorry, but couldn't agree more. Not a single one of us has any concept whatsoever as to what it takes/took to undertake something like this. A guy with a more or less one man shop has designed from scratch, built from scratch, and is now producing a transmission that fits our cars, where the rest of the industry more or less ignored us. Could you do this? Could any of us? You think this was easy, in terms of time, money and energy spent? I think it was [censored] heroic, and I couldn't conceive of doing it in my wildest dreams. He has done it, and is shipping transmissions, albeit far behind schedule and slowly. Like that has never happened before, at any time in history, in any industry?

I got my A-855 home last week. Will do the 5 spd swap over the winter. I support Jamie & I fully expected the long wait for this type of venture. Rather then sit around and complain, I prepared for the anticipated long 5 year back order list, by installing a 2.94 ratio rear gear, matched to a NOS ultra wide ratio Mopar 833 4 speed with all NOS gears & cluster etc. Jamie also hooked me up with parts. My 383 cuda still accelerates good and is very driver friendly because this combo has very low 3.09 1st gear & slightly lower 2nd, 3rd normal & 4th is normal 1:1 direct. So I therefore have a poor-mans substitute for O.D., which works great at city or Hwy speeds. This wide ratio 4 spd teamed up with 8.75 rear pkg will be offered up for sale late winter or early next spring if anyone is interested or would like more information. ps...I also have another complete set of good used ultra wide ratio 4 spd internals if anyone is interested in building/ converting their own thanks DOUG.
