there is a thread over on the race section now, comparing the .012 hole vs the .021 hole lifter. may be of interest to you.

I first used a set with a Lunati Solid. I had ordered the Lunati lifters but they were barbell style and I wondered if the narrow middle section would cause a problem with oil pressur
So far, I have only used 2 sets, both were made by Johnson and ordered through Summit. The second set are in my 440/493 with a MP 528 solid. No problems of any kind. They give peace of mind against cam and lifter failures given the rash of problems we have all heard of. I lost 2 Comp Cams in 2006 along with a MP 292/508 in a 360. I've always been careful to follow proper break-in procedures but I was unaware of the reduction of ZDDP.

I use the comp EDM lifters. Happy with them, no loss in oil pressure and they stay clear of junk. I think EDM is Electric Discharge Machining. IIRC It's how they bore the hole.

yep. EDM is the process that is used. if you get a chance to see an EDM machine in operation, take it. pretty neat how they work.
