Used them for years with no issue's other then yours they leak at the bellows part of the shock.Like you said its nice o be able to lift or lower as need be but once spring s are in place you cannot easily do itGet used to buying the air shocks I have found Gabriels and Monroe lasted the longest if they still make them?

I had some Gabriel Hijackers on my car when i was in High School in the mid 90's. I drove that car my junior and senior year, and then 2 years after. NEVER did the air shocks fail or hurt the upper mounts. I dont know where to tell you to buy them now.

And I guarantee those shock are not longer available.

What you will find is some cheap substitute.

I have these on my '64 Polara. Purchased them from Summit. They only carry a couple dozen different Gabriel air shocks for Mopars.

So i have been told, but there is not any wear on that area and all looks good. I carry a lot of weight between people and stuff in the car and need to raise and lower it when needed.

You do realize that the shocks with the helper springs on them that you have been trying to order are just as likely to damage the top mounts, for the same reason - the upper mounts aren't really designed to carry a load. Not that common with Mopars, but I've seen a lot of cars with air shocks or the shock helper springs snap the ear off of the lower shock bracket, too.

Do you have a part # for the Monroe Load Adjusting shock which fits a B body? Monroe states they don't have a load shock for ??
