Good info and yes, most of my driving these days is a few miles testing carbs so I will put the charger on a couple times a week the get new batteries asap...........thankxxx..........

A big part of your issues are that your
alt is too small on the output.. it gets
by for the longer drives but the shorter
runs it cant recover

I agree and need more output than the 60 amps this puts out so is there a better version in this style..........

I'm sure there is... I run a Denso 3 wire so I run
a separate voltage reg.. I just run the Chrysler one
its 85a

They make one wire conversions for nearly all the Denso's, I keep them on hand to sell to the starter and alternator rebuilders. Most are about $20 and can be changed with a Phillips screwdriver in just a couple minutes alternator is off

It doesn't, what it does when you are wiring in something else it makes easy for people to wire (especially people that aren't good at it)It does cure many wiring issues to it, separate voltage regulators more wires that can go bad. Also makes the engine compartment cleaner without extra wires, that's all. A 60 amp will charge 60 amps. But for about the same price and work you can switch them to 16 Volt if that is ever wanted.... just tossing my 2 cents in

Appreciate the info but I'll stick to 12 volts for now and maybe just have you send me a better version of mine if you have em say in 80+ amps............ Or not.............
