I bought a TQ from a guy at a swap meet last year. He said it was a high stall and ran pretty aggressively in his 12 second Dart. He drove it for a summer and then did something else with the car.

It is obviously aftermarket when compared to stock, although the diameter of it is still 11".

The only numbers I can find are 142222 which may make it a TCI.

Any help in IDing it?

If it is a TCI, thoughts on in in a 440 A body with 4.10's for street and strip? I read enough to know that the PTC/Dynamic etc. is the way to go, however I am on a budget here.

Thank you for your help.

I had to ID a TCI converter I got for free. Go to Summit for TCI and enter the number.

Mine was for a turbo Buick.

The 142222 is a TCI Super Street Fighter 10", it is drilled for 7/16" drive bolts.

It is for a budget 440 A body with 4.10's....

I have read good and bad about tci stuff.

TCI is less than premium quality but lots of folks get good service from them. Give it a try.

I thought it was a $150 convertor new. It was at a swap meet and the guy seemed credible enough, plus he had the other parts from the car there so I bought it on a whim. Always a risk, but I would imagine it is fine. He charged me $40.00 at the end of the day

I didn't know it was a $500 plus dollar one until today...

If it is that bad I can pull it out. Hopefully it will work good and I can get with the program......
