I used it in my Dakota. Absolutely love it. Very easy, great instructions/diagrams. Zero complaints.
As mentioned, the manual transmission is recommended due to kickdown issues, so a manual VB trans would also be fine. What year Dakota love to see pics.

I did a 6.1 hemi with a 518 and used a cable drive throttle body and used a cable for the kickdown... wasn't a direct fit, but did the job. It's nice to be able to go to the local parts store and pick up parts any time.

I bought an after market transmission controller for a NAG1. It has the speed sensor on the output shaft of the transmission. Works great and I get 23mpg avg on the hiway!!! 5.7/NAG1 5 speed auto/2:76 gear in an 8 3/4 rear end. Source soundgermanautomotive.com

You also used a slipper driveshaft? If someone could come out with a ready to go controller for a NAG1 it would be a great transmission for any muscle car. Your 2.76 ratio with a NAG is like a 727 with a 4.10 off the line

Edit: tried to link a few from my imgur account, they aren't showing up though.

I bought the new install kit from Mopar for a 6.4 hemi but after reading the instructions, it says that it won't work with my 2012 6.4 crate engine. Wonderful. Anyone know how to make it work with the earlier engine?

I'm in the same dilemma. I have the earlier 6.4 and bought the install kit. The older 6.4's don't have knock sensors and the new kit has connections for them. I read that you can eliminate the knock sensors but not sure what else is different. I need to figure out if I can make this kit work.
