We had a discussion in an earlier thread about the cars that had the rear window louvers. If your car has a vinyl top, did it have the textured rear window trim that was painting the same color as the top? I have a set of that trim that came off of my Sisters Cuda with a white vinyl top. I do not think it had rear louvers on the car. It has been too long ago to remember if it had the original top on the car when we bought it. If it only came on rear window louvered cars, then why did mine come with it?
Louver cars, Grand Coupe's & just random cars for no reason got it....

I know the Parts Book shows that the Louver Rivits and the Door Rivits are the same number 6026292. I have an original louver car with painted racing mirrors and the Rivits are different from each other on the car.The Louver Rivits are longer. The Parts book shows two different Screws 3400353 for the Louvers and 187709 for the Door Mirrors. My Louver screws are much longer than my Door Mirror screws.
The Rivits in the picture do look much the same as the ones on my car, minus the puddy or body work that make them look tear drop like in the picture.

Tav: The textured trim that was available in other colors was available on 1971 B cars, all 1970 B cars had black trim. B = Barracuda
That explains it. Most of the cars I've seen were 1970 models. Thanks m46rat!

Yes
The louvers/rivnuts would have to be installed after the vinyl top correct?
Wouldn't that make the rivnuts loose if the vinyl was removed?

Yes they went in after the top.
I dont know if I agree with this statement. Original window louvered vinyl top cars I have seen had the top installed after the rivets. Here's a picture of a patch of vinyl I removed and kept from a parted window louvered Challenger over 25 years ago clearly showing the top was installed over the rivets.
