I messed mine up trying to put in longer bolts to make up for the .118 spacer moving the vert back into the pump.I had to use an open hole tap then trim 4 threads from it to bottom in the hole.I am putting in .680 arp bolts 200-2906 and I tested all the holes with the flex plat on the vert and no spacer[to be sure] and the bolt bottoms in the hole[close] against the plate.I am taking care of some fixes while I wait for the new flex plate. Will MEK clean the loctite from the threads on the crank? ps:The vert hole is .815 deep with the flex plate on and the plate is .105 thick. How did I mess up the threads you ask,I 1st tried a arp 200-2902 that is .720 long and bottomed in the hole and unthreading the bolt messed up the threads with the bolt threads that got bent bottoming out.Wow that sucked!!!

Just put a little heat to the locktite and that should take care of it I have read of that but I will have to tap the hole to clean it.I use too much and will cut back.

form, or roll taps are better than cut [normal style] taps for something like this, because they "roll", or form the threads instead of cutting [removing material] them, but the hole needs to be slightly bigger than the normal tap hole size. Ya when I bottomed the bolt in the hole and backed the bolt out it made thing bigger but most of the holes are ok accept the 1 open in the pic that I had to cut the tap to get in deeper. Thanks for the info.
