Greetings all.

I need to remove the drip-edge chrome from my 63 330 and am not sure of the proper way to do it. I am guessing there is a correct tool to get the job done, but do not know what that tool is, let alone where to buy it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

The sideswiping a tree at 20 mph method makes the chrome hard to reinstall.
eek

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

On my 70 Sport Satellite . . . I wrapped a can opener with lots of electrical tape and VERY VERY carefully pried up on it to remove - very very careful, or you would dent the trim

I use a 3 or 4" putty knife and tap it with a plastic mallet or small hammer. Less chance of bending when putting pressure over a wider area. Lift from bottom of drip rail, the top is snapped over the top.

Small block of wood,4" long,2" wide and 1/4" thick and a small hammer, put it on the inside lip, comes right off and no damage.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Church key/can openers, putty knife, blocks of wood, sideswiping... Should be able to get one of these to work. I'll let you know.

Scott
