I am currently running TTI 2 X 2 1/8 step headers. They have seen better days and I see that TTI now makes a 2 1/8 x 2 1/4 header. My 572 makes 900HP. The car weights 3700lbs with me in it. Do you guys think that this will help me or hurt combo? I know that sometimes bigger isn't better. Any comments? Thanks!

Hey Jim! I would either go with what is proven...(Buy the same header) Or have a set made and go 2.125x4 by someone knowledgeable. I don't care for the sharp bends and severe unequal lengths of the TTI I have seen. Come to think HOOKER makes a real nice B body 2.125" 'race' header. Pretty sure they are slip tube collector...use a 4"

Big motors with big cams like big pipes shruggy
The first motor I dyno tuned(low compression 413 M.W. pump gas motor) on a DTS engine dyno like a set of 2 1/4 with a 4.0 inch collector better than the Hooker A body 2.0x3.5 inch collectors we started the tesing with shruggy work
I would buy the bigger pipes twocents
My 555 C.I. B1-MC headed motor will have 2 1/8 to 2 1/4 with 4.0 inch collectors up

The hooker setup uses 3 1/2" collector. Easy enough to cut off the extension and weld some 4" tube to it or just buy a set of 4" collectors. I agree that a custom 2 1/4" set would be best.
