I have purchased a 57 Swepside not swept line pickup and want to do a complete restoration. Problem seems to be I can't find pictures or anyone else that can give me more info than production numbers. This is the weirdest looking truck I had ever seen and I can drive it as it is but would like to see if anyone has any experience or Pictures of the inner fender in the rear of the truck that would help with building the splash guards that are missing. Along with a thousand other questions I have!

Thanks Rinodart
I actually called and talked to Tom Welters and he is going to hook me up with some of the parts I need and he has contacts for restoration info. the fact that these trucks were build without inner rear fender liners and everything is slopped up into the upper part of the rear Quarters explains there rarity.

Low production numbers is the reason for the rarity, lack of inner splash shields is the reason most that have survived need the outer rear quarters.
The trucks were built in 57, 58, and 59, but all were pretty low production numbers.
At one time there was a web site specifically for these trucks, years ago it was pretty low traffic, don't know if it even exists anymore. Sorry, don't have an address.
Other then the fancy box, they were pretty much standard pickups. Mechanical parts are pretty easy to find. Gene

Yes it is. There is a guy in Missouri named Tom Welters who knows all about these trucks, haven't seen him for about 15 years but he bought all the wagons out of R&R Salvage so he would be sure to have extra quarters for his Sweptsides. If I remember correctly he runs a Farm Supply store in Verona, MO. Wow....small world. I haven't heard anybody talk about R&R salvage in a long time.
