Agreed. I used Tri-City plating for my bumpers and they came back awesome. How was Iversons on price and what kind of job did they do? My friends have used people for pot metal and the chrome was nice but started blistering again after just over a year.

Considering the cost of shipping large parts, I'd ask around about local shops....Harley riders usually know what shops do good work.
Keep in mind that most shops aren't equipped to handle bumpers.

I had Ogden do my truly ugly bent/twisted/rusty '67 GTX front about 5-6 years ago it was $350-$400 including shipping both ways. They did an excellent job, absolutely perfect. Fast forward to 2015 and the price Ogden quoted to do my pretty decent '68 bee rear bumper somehow jumped to $850. Needless to say, I passed. Since I now live in the San Diego area I gave Escondido Chrome a call. Family owned business for something like 50+ years. They triple plated the Bee bumper for $390 and it turned out perfect, probably better than original. One thing the owner warned me about is that many platers now GRIND off the old plating to save on high chemical (disposal?) costs. This destroys original lines and creates waviness in the finished job. Escondido Chrome still removes old plating electrochemically. Something you should verify with your plater no matter who you choose. Good luck!

Iversons has done several 65 console bases for me, console tops, C Pillar chrome, windshield crome, horn ring etc. All nice work and holding up 10-15 years. No detai, lost in process, crisp lines and parts fit correctly when returned. Hes not cheap, but its nice work.
