Anyone out there running a 408 stroker engine with the Milodon road race oil pan?

I have heard conflicting comments on if this pan causes interference with the longer rods in the 408......

Thanks for any info that can be supplied.....

I see no reason the pan should cause any issues. You may need a stroker windage tray though.

^^^ that'd be my take. I ain't that far on mine (408) tho it does have 50 under rod bearings to destroke & (slightly) help deal with the tall pistons.

Slightly off topic:

They highly recommend using their windage tray with this pan. In a stock 340 can you still use the OEM windage tray?

The longer main studs can require some slight dimpling of the pan. There's a good post going on about this over at A-Bodies Only.

1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

Yes I had to check the main stud clearances of the main cap one from the rear, #4, under the center upkick in the pan when running a windage tray with main studs that had an adjustable height feature. Basically when there is extra bolt material sticking up past the nut that fastens the windage tray.

I run the same 4" stroke as you with I beam scat rods. Not even close. The only thing would be the windage tray attachments that I described in post above
