I am converting my 580 inch motor to pump gas. The new compression ratio will be 10.0 It has a solid roller it now that specs: .800" 290@.050. Indy 572 13 heads. My son is taking the car so I am looking for something that is very easy on parts. I'm going to stay with a solid roller though. Thoughts????

We've been using the Indy CM-3 cam for coming up 10yrs with 1.6 arms on our 580" wedge. Seems easy on parts and stable once set. Idles nice and is OK on the street. We're at 12.4:1 on the CR though. HTH's up
EDIT: We do change the springs every season.

The cam that is in there now is the cm-2. My son is not looking for a race motor anymore...
