I'm getting set to install my side windows and the quarter windows are in. What type of lube do you use to oil the mechanisms? What do you lube? Wheels and guides? Hinges/pivot points? Crank mechanism?

I’m listening.

I use sil glyde for all manual and power window mechanisms...Temps won't affect it and time won't harden it..LINK Napa also carries it with their own label... Here's the lube chart for the quarter windows..

Lube chart for the doors..If you can get to the crank mechanism I'd grease that as well...

I used Castle Endura on my '67 Belvedere locks, regulators, and hinges based on a recommendation of Rocky's some time ago. Worked unbelievably well.

I've had great success using synthetic disc brake lube on anything that slides, pivots, moves or glides. It wont attack plastic or rubber, resists washout and has all kinds of slippery stuff in it.
