Restored 69 Charger 440/auto, owner bought H pipe I'm waiting on tail pipes does anybody know the total length of muffler needed for the OE stock setup R/T 375 HP auto thanks for a reply or three

Looks like you can buy the correct mufflers that are OE markings and all from ECS Automotie and just get the mufflers themselves without having to get an entire exhaust system.


inherited a 69 roadrunner from my grand pop.

I hear ya but the guy wants aftermarket muffs ill just piece it all together and measure thanks for the reply!

The mufflers for your application should be 25-1/2" overall . The case length is 21".
Offset 2-1/4" I.D. on the inlet side and 2-1/4" I.D. center on the outlet side.

Thanks Tom I thought the offset inlet was 2.50 and then center tail pipes which were 2.25?, in other words the H pipe was 2.5 I believe I just had wrong info thanks much for that length!!

The factory h-pipe was 2-1/2" but sized down to 2.25 O.D. at the muffler connection.
However aftermarket h-pipes as we manufacture come either 2.25 or 2.50" O.D. sizes.
So before purchasing mufflers you should measure the O.D. of the h-pipe at the muffler connection.

Thanks alot Tom ,new question I'll post to the board.Never been around hi po manifolds owner gave me a H pipe from classic,fits up there real nice was surprised,but what are these steel gaskets?no perforated metal gasket?,also got bolts in the package but they are not long enough for these thick steel (gaskets) who somebody school me on the correct set up and maybe a part number from YO or Classic for the proper length bolts every time I try to get something done I got wrong parts ha,car is 69 Charger RT 440/727 thanks for any info I only been around headers thanks
