When installing front and back glass will the the body paint in the channels show in places? I think I've read that it's a good idea to paint the channels black first.

Did the factory paint the channels black? On black cars they did. Otherwise they're body color.

You did not mention the type or year of car, but as one example......

1970 E-bodies had the lower parts of the A-pillar inner glass channel & lower windshield glass channel blacked out so that the body color would not appear as a 'stripe' between the glass & the leading edge of the dash pad.

You will have a much better look if you do not have body color showing through. What car and year are you working on?

I thought I read somewhere that F8 and B7 cars were not painted black? Please let me know if this is incorrect as I will soon be installing the windshield on my 70 F8 Challenger. Thanks.

On a a '70 B-body, the windshield inner seal lip covers that area.

Supposedly, the black ones also, but......

I have seen original paint '70 Challengers in EF8 & TX9 with full blackout.

I have not looked close at any original in EB7 yet & I have not seen every original paint car either though.

What do your before & during restoration photos show?

My 38,000 mile 1970 EF8 Valiant also has the radiator blackout as normal.

I had never noticed the comment on black tape being an option in lieu of paint at the rocker pinch seam.
I've never seen tape.

So, has anyone seen a production car with the blackout rear taillight panel?
Obviously there are drawings showing it, and it shows up on the brochure, but I have not seen it on an original paint car.
