on a 1972 Dodge challenger what is the V7X stripe? Car doesnt have gilles on the front fenders where the rally stripe starts. So where else is this? anyone got any pictures? trying to find more info on 1972 challengers

Black lacquer painted on side stripe according to the Hamtramck Historical site. Now what that stripe looks like I don't know.

So if you do a Google image search you'll see a few cars that have what looks like a 1971 style R/T stripe without the R/T at the back of the car. It seems to be what shows up most so maybe this is what it's supposed to look like?

1972 Challenger V7_ stripes are PAINTED "accent stripes" (pin stripes) following the top body line of the car

Thanks for posting that. For the life of me I could not recall seeing those cars with anything other than the strobe stripes.

I'd bet 99.9% of the Challengers that came with the stripe and have been repainted have left it off. To get the dimensions you'd have to locate a survivor car, or hope someone took some good measurements and kept them.
