Thanks convx4. The original top for my car was black, but I want to change to a white top since I think it would look better with a red body and white seats/door panels. The frame is black and I just cleaned it up and repainted it, still black. Would that work with a white top, or would some black frame paint scuff off onto the white underside of the top? Should the frame be white? Original top... Robert

I wanted an added headliner to help quiet the noise, but the guy that did my top didn't say it was economically feasible for him to do it. There are other shops that can build you anything you want, but most tops are pre-sewn and then installed.
I opted for a high quality German Canvas top to replace the old torn factory one. It looks 1000% better than vinyl in my view. I also only like the glass rear windows. The plastic ones look so cheap.
