I guess I will need to buy a set of inner fenders for my 71 Charger. I see that I have choices for inner fenders..
Goodmark, Shermans and AMD make them... which is best fit and thickness of steel and which is the most correct?
Thank you

Note; I also need lower patch panels for the 71 Charger rear quarters if anyone knows where to get them? AMD doesn't seam to offer them???

LOL... Well, I had a wrecked 70 Road runner, I used AMD quarter, trunk floor (1 piece) and an NOS taillight panel, used original trunk lid and bumper and quarter extensions...all worked good... and would have been better if I could have talked the customer into a new full frame rail or at least a good used one... but he bought the partial frame rail and I had more time involved because of it. It did come out good though.

Can't speak for the front inner fenders, but on an e-body Cuda/Barracuda I got a deal on some goodmark quarters. When I first looked at them they looked OK, but with a closer look, the body lines were poor and the fit just didn't seem right. Ordered AMD and they fit like a glove. Yes some minor tweaking but they JUST fit better. twocents

i think a lot of it is a crapshoot
and what combination of parts you are using together matters also.
i had a hell of a time getting a AMD dutchman to fit good.
i messed with it for way too long and was never happy how it layed out.
it just had this warp that would not fit the contour of the rear window
pull it in and it popped out somewhere else.
pull it in too much and its bowed in the middle
i learned a few new curse words from it.. lol

i just happened to have a goodmark one in my parts stash that i didn't use
on a different project
the light went off in my head and i dug it out and tried it
and i got it to fit where i was happy and it didn't take very long
to do it either.
i had wasted much more more time on the other one then the complete install
of the 2nd.

good to know that the 70 stuff works
i have a 70 that needs everything back except the rails
i have a mint used tail panel,AMD trunk floor, goodmark dutchman
and a custom hand built rear cross member (very nice piece i must say)
that was built because the person wasn't very happy with the AMD part
so he banged out a dozen as he need a few for his project cars.
i have skins for the quarters but i'm probably going full quarters
after looking at it the other day.

A friend of mine is a supplier for both AMD and Goodmark.
I examined the inner fenders for a customer well enough to form an opinion that the AMD are the ones I would use..
I don't have pictures here, but stamped holes for items like wiring clips etc appeared to be off on a couple spots on the Goodmark.
However.... a bit off topic, let me show a few pictures of the AMD rad support which I myself would not use.
First picture shows welded studs for the horizontal top support on an AMD followed by the original stud head on an original support.
Third picture is of the nuts used several places on the side supports on AMD supports and forth pictures is original side support nuts

In general AMD are the "better" fitting parts. That does not mean perfect.

I've personally used a lot of both... my opinion is a lot of goodmark parts are better than people here claim while a lot of amd is not as good as claimed. Certainly neither are as good oem metal. AMD does retool parts and improving parts, not sure others do that. I've used some really poor fitting amd parts, so overall I don't have as high as an opinion as others do.

On inner fenders for a nice driver, I'd use the lower cost option.

The rear crossmember is another part I forgot when I did a 70 rr with amd metal... had to redo the flange completely with a hammer and dolly. The deck filler and cowl width issues... all on the same car is why I was not happy with amd!
