I found that I have the wrong front brake line kit for my '69 Coronet.
I currently have what appears to be a power disk brake kit, but need a kit for manual drums. It looks like the proportioning valves are quite a bit different.

Anyhow, looking at SSTubes (Fine Lines), they have several kits numbers, but I don't know the difference between a "Type 5, 6 or 7" right front line?

Narrowing it down to type 5 or 6, but hard to see how each connects to the flexable brake lines

I'm thinking the hard line would be the std 3/16" double flare with the std 3/8-24 straight thread male tube nut slid on the line behind the double flare end (if that helps).

Must have been a long day today. I can just go look at my '69 Coronet 500, duh..
One of the things that upset me today is that I broke my brake flaring tool frown

Drum brakes don't have a proportioning valve, so yes everything is different. Who did you buy the kit from? If you got it from the Wrong Stuff, send it back, and go with Fine Lines.

I would suggest contacting the supplier on the tool and see if they will replace it beer

I think I got the lines from Inline Tube at the Mopar Nationals about 15 years ago. I must have asked for the wrong kit because all three '69 Coronets I have are/were drum brake cars.

The brake line tool is the K-Tool KTI-70081. I think the same tool is sold by Eastwood and Inline tube. It did a good job until I broke it. I guess I don't know my own strength. It only has a one year warranty, and I have had it for 3 or 4 years. There are a few ways I could try to fix it. I may mill the back flat where it broke and make a steel plate to replace the part that broke off?
