I just saw an unrestored, survivor 70 Hemi Cuda with 6100 miles at Mecum in Indy. The car has a vinyl top and I noticed it has black rubber caulk-like sealer in the crack between the vinyl top and the drip rail mouldings. See the pictures below.

Is this assembly line? Has anyone else seen this on an original V1X car?

I assume it's to prevent water from seeping under the vinyl top seam as water runs down the drip rail valley.
