Entire kit? Not sure, I know www.oldmoparts.com has the canister and filters, but the plumbing you'd have to ask them. I don't think I have ever owned a Mopar flathead that didn't have the oil filter installed.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

They weren't always standard equipment, although I'd think by '56 it would have been. Also possible they were optional and dealer ordered vehicles without them and then sold an aftermarket kit which he installed. Here's an original. My family was strictly GM so my memory is of the housing with a big AC sticker on it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-car-truck-AC-style-oil-filter-assembly-1930s-1950s-/162353234465?hash=item25cd01c221:g:EboAAOSw9GhYdNpO&vxp=mtr As an alternative there were the "beehive" filters added by hot rodders for visual pop. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=bee...r+&_sacat=0Keep in mind that these oil filters were not full flow filters. As the engines had been designed in the 30s, when oil filters were definitely optional, the first oil filters bled off oil from near the oil pump and after filtering drained it back into the sump. That's why you see so many of these filters with a small copper tube running to the block. PureOLator was the first. My 1928 Allis Chalmers was the first farm tractor to come standard with an oil filter. But many many tractors had canister filters into the '60s. So don't discount tractors and tractor stores as sources. There are also the remote filter assemblies sold by all the hot rod shops. You'll just need to get a little creative with the plumbing. R.

Looks like vintage power wagons (VPW) has them. Tubing is regular steel auto tubing (like fuel line) and flared. ACE hardware (a good one) probably has the fittings you would need. As mentioned, it is a bypass style filter... it only filters part of the oil flow. Oil to the bearings comes right from the sump. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxzO_Oy1EMLIWVFzSHRzNjlOMWs/view
