Does anybody know a source for stainless door edge guards/trim??

Back edge of door at the quater/jam-opening.
Found universal plastic,and GM/Ford re-pop in stainless.

For a 68` B-Body,,may something for a truck?
Ideas?????

I suggest you buy the shiny chrome plastic stuff from any auto parts store. It does work.

Stainless will protect your door edges but plastic protects the other guys car.

Ive got them for several of my old mopars but im skiddish of what it takes to put them on in terms of hurting the paint, as well to me its another place dirt and moisture can hide.

Don't know if I have room for the plastic ones,I would have to measure them first.
I want stainless.
As far as the installation, I wouldn't recommend just smashing them on.
Original paint car might be able to fit them out of the box.
But, I am sure my doors are thicker.
So they will need "massaged " before final installation.
They want 99.00 for re-pops from OER.

I removed a set from an original paint Charger and the doors were scratched/ rusty from where they rode all those years. Too bad as they look cool especially on dark cars. The plastic ones just look cheap. Ive been debating using an original set but probably just wont use em.

I bought a mint used set of SS door guards for my Dart off the classifieds here years ago. Now that my doors have $$$ paint on them I'm not sure I want to try sticking them on. I don't know if they glue on, or are a tight fit that you lightly hammer on?

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

Yep,had on and off several times. Tore the paint right off.
Primer/sealer is in tack tho.
Paint is destroyed under everything you bolt on anyway,no big worry.

Not concerned, ain`t driving this in the winter much LOL.
Won`t even get wet unless by accident.

If it was a GTX or something with more trim I might have not done them. I like the way it adds a litte flash on those plain sides.
