Hey guys, has anyone else found a paint marking on their AAR or T/A,s front sway bar? I found this on the right side of mine and it appears to be a clay red or a bright red that has faded to a clay red. Maybe this was used to identify this bar as the larger T/A diameter bar? Not really sure but I would like to apply it after restoration if it is commonplace there. It also looks to have a baked on drip or run. Thanks for any insight.

And if thats an identification mark its the worlds longest.

Maybe a past owner noticed the black paint missing and wanted to stop rust, or thought it was cool??

I do not recall seeing any paint marks like that.

Was the car painted orange at some point? If so, it could be over spray.

Ok looks like it's likely overspray from the repaint. I was looking at the wrong set of on bushings and brackets and thought they had no overspray on them. The ones from my car do...And it's old red to the point of turning brown. Thanks for the repaint overspray thought. Gave me the idea to go double check my bushings and brackets. :-) I know this is off the topic but if I post a pic or two of the trunk mat, would someone be able to decode the date that is inked on the bottom of it? I'll post photos shortly. Thanks again. Eddie

another pic. I have much higher resolution ones but cant post them. To me it appears to be 213A42 Pentastar 3415648. is the first set of numbers a date code? On some trunk mats, it's very obvious that it's a date but this looks like a code or something.
